Surgery is Coming
Change is coming by way of surgery! Woot Woot!! That is right, as referenced to in the last post, I have spoken with my doctor and set up a date to have my girl insides removed! Although my doctor was a little disappointed to see me "give up the fight" he said that the only thing close to a cure for endometriosis is a hysterectomy. Had I not been suffereing from serious pain and side effects for the past 10 years, I may have been able to hold on a little longer, but the pain is continually worsening, I am turing into a real attitude monster and I have NO ENERGY to even carry on with my day to day at times. Having this surgery has a list of pros and cons, but I am praying with all my heart and faith that by doing it, I will be able to live a more healthy and happy life. I know that there are a few people out there that don't understand or support my decision to do this surgery, however I have no taken the planning of this lightly. Joel and i have had indepth conversations and we have been praying for guideance so that we know how to carry on with the trials we are facing. This is the perfect time, perfect doctor to do it, and perfect feeling! My surgery is scheduled for October 30th. I will be hospitalized for a few days following surgery (so all my Utah friends in the area, make sure to come see me because I will need support!) then I will come home and try to make things work up here. We are hoping to get a family member or good friend to come spend some time up here for at least the first week so that the kids will have all the attention they need plus the house and I can be watched. The first week or so I am bed ridden, with only movements to include going to the restroom and taking a shower. I am so sad that I wont be able to love on my babies, but it will be ok if I can get them love and attention from those helping us. Weeks two through three will be light movement but still needing serious help around the house. After that, I should be okay to do more things and hopefully go back to loving my babies and doing things like before. It will definitely be a challenge, but people have offered to help, and we will be taking them up on all the help we can get! for sure!!

Wowzers! No matter what anybody says or thinks - you are not giving up the fight...you are a fighter! You are making this decision to fight for your ability to raise and take care of your family without the pain of your condition holding you back. You will continue to be in my prayers.
Poor Lila! Surgery is no fun. I have to tell you (and I'm hoping you already know this) that a full hysterectomy will throw your body into menopause. :o( But, on the brighter side, my Mom went through menopause for the same reason at only 24 years old and it's a lot easier for a younger body to handle. And now all of her friends are going through it and she's like "been there, done that".
Let me know if I can help you with anything - even from here. Love you! And I'll be praying for you.
I heart you Lila and wish that I could be there to help out! Sorry love. I know that you will be fine and that this is the best decision for your family. You are a major trooper and I love you mucho!!
