Aww, the zoo...what a pleasant adventure that was! When we were planning our weekend out with the Clark family, we had hoped for a beautiful sun shinning day that we could wander around enjoying the sites and sounds of nature while allowing our children to have a very stimulating time looking at animals, people, and each other. Boy were we wrong. Saturday happened to be a very rainny day! UGH! As we were wandering around temple square we kept thinking that we would just skip the zoo because we didn't want to go in the rain...i mean can you blame us? As we were working towards the final plans, some friends that were going to be hanging out with Ben and Anjuli called to inform us that they were waiting for us at the zoo...we had no way of getting out of it now, so we all loaded into our cars, hoping that the rain would stop and the sun would come out. I was very excited that when we arrived at the zoo it wasn't raining and we had a chance of enjoying a sunny afternoon...well, about 30 minutes into our zoo adventure we found ourselves trying to stay dry but not wanting to leave because we didn't want our money to go to waste. We played around the zoo for about 2 hours (maybe not that long) and then had to get going. We were pretty wet, but managed to keep the kids dry. C-baby loved watching the monkeys that looked like skunks, but didn't really show much interest in anything else. I think we will have to try again next year to see if he gets the idea of what a zoo is.

I love the pictures! My favorite part is that the kids are completely oblivious in the pictures! haha!
