Alphabet Book...

I was sitting in church on Sunday admiring the cute family in front of us and trying to find ways to entertain my kids as well as they do theirs so they aren't disruptive during the service. At one point I glanced over and the dad was showing their 2 year old son a book that was made with pictures of his life in it. That is when the idea hit me and has been with me since. I have decided to embark on a task that will be amazing, if I can pull it off. :o)

I am going to create an alphabet book using pictures and words that express how grateful we are for our children, and that will help them learn a few things over time...maybe! The alphabet book will be based upon our feelings about adoption and the joy our kids bring into our lives. Right now the hardest part if trying to decide if I should keep Bbaby and Cbaby's books similar as far as the filler words.

Here is what I have listed for Cbaby's book....IDEAS AND HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

A. Adoption or Adopted
B. Birthmother
C. Cbaby
D. daddy
e. eternity
f. family
g. gratitude, grateful
h. happiness
i. included
j. joyus
k. Keep, ketchup
l. love, laughter
m. miracle, mommy
n. nanna (would include pictures of both grandmas)
o. open
p. pappa (would include pictures of both grandpas)
q. quick
r. red hair, rockstar
s. silly
t. teddy bear, tall
u. under
v. vest, vast, very
w. wonderful
x. X-cited (a stretch I know)
y. you, yellow, young
z. zoo

Bbaby's would be somewhat similar but with a few changes in the letter meanings. Like F would be family, foster care B would be bbaby, beautiful C would be caring, curls

Anyway, feel free to pipe in. :)

That's a great idea!
Here's another idea for you:
Something I have done for my kids is get a little photo album and cut pictures of Christ, the prophets, temples, etc from old church magazines. They get the filled photo album to look at during the sacrament. (and they usually hang onto them well after the sacrament.) We whisper about the pictures, about thinking about Jesus.

LOOOOVE IT! I think you're right on with making most of them the same, but with a few variations to personalize it for each child...makes it easy for future children!

i think you have a great list, what a neat idea!
And I have to add that your kids are so incredibly adorable. I totally look up to you, and can't believe that they are only 3.5 months apart. It's basically like twins. Can I call you wonder woman?
